Samir Ayyash, a successful entrepeneur from Middle East to Australia

For more than three decades, Mr. Samir Ayyash has played a key role in supporting the Jordanian and Arabic communities in both Australia and Jordan. He was a trailblazer in Sydney’s hospitality industry, establishing one of the first successful businesses in the sector.

His company, Petra Equipment, offers a full range of hospitality solutions, from selling industry equipment to providing design and fabrication services for restaurants, school canteens, hotels, and other commercial establishments. The company also provides consulting services to assist new entrepreneurs entering the market. Among Petra Equipment’s major achievements are government contracts, including a project for the Australian Defence Force worth over $2 million. The company has grown significantly, with annual revenue surpassing $33 million and a team of 63 employees.

In 1998, Mr. Ayyash expanded into entertainment by launching a production company responsible for promoting some of the biggest names in Middle Eastern music.

Further diversifying his business interests, he founded Asian Galaxy Pty Ltd in 1996, an export company that continues to operate today. The company averages 20 container shipments per month and manages nine restaurants in China.

Mr. Ayyash’s drive for innovation led him to establish CK Cell Technologies Pty Ltd in 2010, a regenerative medicine company known under the brand Endexome. Specializing in stem cell-derived medical solutions, the company is valued at $65 million.

He is also a key figure in the international food franchise industry. As a partner in Seagrass Hospitality, he contributes to a business with operations spanning Australia, the Middle East, Europe, and Africa. The company boasts an annual revenue of $250 million and employs 1,500 people.

In 2021, Mr. Ayyash expanded his entrepreneurial endeavors to the mining and natural stone industry by founding Galaxy Mining in Jordan.
